HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE HAS SUCCESSFUL CAREER.

H. W. Young, better known as Hayes Young, who had been visiting here for a few days with old -friends, left today for Salt Creek, Wyo. Mr. Young was graduated/ from the Rensselaer high school in 1897. For a number of years he was a teacher in the Newton county public, schools. He then went west and worked in the mines of Montana and Colorado. He entered Stanford inuniversity in California in 1906 and in 1911 was graduated from the mining department. He was for six years .professor in his Alma Matre in the department of metallurgy. During the year 1918 he was employed by the government of Holland to make some investigations in metallurgy.- He is now with the Middle West Refining company, with his headquarters at Salt Creek, Wyo. His work is with the gas department. It will be a to the many friends of Mr. Young to know that he has been so successful, and his career should be an inspiration to all of those who are endowed with ambition and a desire to make good.
