LAWRENCE BAKER AT POINT OF DEATH IN ARIZONA.
A message was received here today by Mrs. John J. Eddy from Miami, Ariz., announcing that hbr brother, Lawrence Baker, was seriously ill in that city and that it was believed that his death was but a matter of a few hours. Mr. Baker suffered a stroke of paralysis recently and has grown steadily worse since that time, lapsing into unconsciousness Monday. He is 53 years of age. Mr. Baker is interested in mines in Arizona which are said to be very rich, and he has been engaged in mining for many years. He paid a visit to this city several years ago, shortly after the death of his father, | William Baker.
