CELEBRATED 42ND ANNIVERSARY OF MARRIAGE SUNDAY.

Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Hemphill celebrated the forty-second anniversary of their marriage at their home in the east part of the city Sunday, November 23rd, at a dinner given in their honor by the members of the family; ■ t: Mr. and- Mrs. Hemphill were married in the year 1877, their maniage township. Following their marriage they located in this city, which has been their home continuously since that time. Mr. Hemphill wa3 for many years the, owner of a blacksmith shop on South Front street, which he operated until a few years ago when he was succeeded in business by his sons, James and Harvey. Those present to help Mr. and Mrs. Hemphill enjoy the auspicious occasion were; I. N. Hemphill and daughter Minnie and son Floyd; Mr. and Mrs. James Hemphill and four children, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Long, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Moore, Mr? and Mrs. Ralph Moore and children, Mrs. Preston Hemphill, Mrs. Gertrude Hewitt, Mrs. Charles Salt well, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gorham, William Bull and family and Mrs. M. P. Warner. Mr. and Mrs. Hemphill are both enjoying good health and are enjoying the fruits of their early toil, and their many friends hope that they may live to enjoy many more such anniversaries as they celebrated Sunday.
