Illinois university won the conference football championship Saturday by defeating Ohio State, 9 to 7, and Chicago was defeated by Wisconsin, 10 to 3.
The Daughters of the American Revolution will meet with Mrs. A. J. Bellows, of North Cullen street, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Miss Shoemaker, of Purdue, will make the address. A large attendance is desired. The Thanksgiving dance will be given under the auspices, of the Van Rensselaer club at the armory Thursday evening, and it is expected that a large crowd will be in attendance. Nadel’s orchestra, of Chicago, will provide the music. •
