MAKING GOOD AS AD WRITER FOR OHIO COMPANY.

The many friends of James H. S. Ellis, formerly of this city but now of Columbus, (J., will be pleased to learn that he is rapidly stepping to the front as a writer of advertisements since his return from overseas service. In the October issue of “Good Housekeeping” will be found specimen of his work, the page ad-7 vertisement of the Royal Osseo Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturing company, on page 183. James is employed by this company, and his concise, forceful and get-to-the-point style is winning recognition from his employers. His work appears in all of the leading magazines of the country as well as numerous city newspapers, and the ability he. has shown to date assures for him a permanent position as an ad writer. Mr. Ellis is a graduate of the local high school and the University of Virginia and furthered his schooling in Chicago university. Shortly after the entrance of his country into the world war Mr. Ellis enlisted as a member•of a tank corps and was soon sent to the other side, where he saw much active service and acquitted himself in a creditable manner. However, much of his success must be accredited to another reason—the reason being a demure little Chicago maiden whom he led to the altar shortly before he started overseas.
