ANOTHER POSTOFFICE EMPLOYE LOST TO UNCLE SAM.
An unusual stir, possessing all of the ardor of a Red uprising, was in progress at the postoffice this morning, and when an anxious reporter began poking his nose about for news he learned that little Dan’l Cupid was at the.seat of the trouble. The employes of the postoffice were indulging in a charivkh’ at the expense of Miss Mabel Brandt, an employe who tendered her resignation to the postal authorities some time ago and which will take effect soon. Miss Brandt is soon to turn her thoughts frojn selling postage stamps and telling complaining customers just why their mail isn’t in to the cares and worries of a housewife. No, we don’t know when it is going tp take place, but it certainly isn’t feoing to be very long. It is understood that the young man who has robbed Uncle Sam of an efficient clerk is from Morocco and that his name is Clare Porter, -kA.
