j John Sommers was born in Meck- . lenburg Schwern, Germany, on the 20th dny of He. was stricken with paralysis on the 4th of October and was unconscious up until the time of his death at abont VP.P- ™.. Sunday, October jL , He came to this country m the year 1868, When but a young man Fand settled for some time near Francesville, Ind., and after t® at time has been a resident of Jasper i county. From infancy he wae united with the German Lutheran church and remained thus until his de in h ’the year 1869 he was united in marriage, to Louisa Kruger, lo this union twelve children were born, of which number six preceded him to the grave. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife and six children, Mrs. William Lwellen, of Hoopeston, Ill.; John H of Hammand, Ind.; Mort and Charies, Mrs. I George Beaver j(nd Mrs. John J.
