Statistical students of the cost of living in Brussels show that for necessities the price of which may be designated ns 100 in April, 1014, Brussels paid 000 In January, 1010, or nearly a sevenfold increase. There has been a constant drop since January, reaching 564 in February, 403 Li March, 344 in April and 333 in .May, 1919. Articles not necessities have come down from 01T. in January to 400 in May, and clothing, shoes, coal and light-rep-resented by 516 in January, have dropped to 351 in May.
