POSTMASTER AND CARRIERS GET INCREASE IN SALARY.
The government has finally come to realize that it is impossible for the postmasters and rural carriers to live On the same salary as they did several years ago. As a result an increase of $l5O in the annual wage of these employes is provided for in a bill which hga been, passed by the house of representatives at Washington, D. C., several days ago and has sent to the senate. The increase is retroactive to July 1 and will affect approximately 250,000 postal employes throughout the United States.
