I Washington, Sept. 25.—Expectai tion of the --war- -department that. ! American troops will be detained in ! Siberia until January,* 1920, if not longer, was indicated officially ffra'ay, when Secretary Baker roqu&t,,i' the seven affiliated warfare associations to continue their work lairibng these troops “for a further ! period of three or four months, or until such time as the army is in a ■ position to undertake this responsibility.” Mr. Baker has said in reply to questions that withdrawal of the Siberian expedition was jiwaiting the decision of President Wilson.
