The county council met in special session today to consider the improvement of a nunjber of Jasper county" roads under the county unit law. Mrs Fred Stiers, of Lee, and her daughter, Mrs. Grace Osborne, of Chicago, were guests today of Mrs. Henry Randle, of North Cullen street. Mr. and Mrs. Newell of Jackson, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. William Powell, of Piper City, and Mrs. Norman Seibert, who were here to attend the funeral of the late Mrs. Guy Merriman and to visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Gosnell, left today for their home.
