PLAN FOR FRANCHISE LEAGUE.

' ' i A meeting, of unusual interest was held Wednesday night at the Red Cross rooms to arrange for the organization of a Rensselaer branch of the Woman's Franchise League of Indiana. The methods and purposes of the organization were explained by Mrs. Olive Beldon Lewis, of Indianapolis, state organizer for the league. Arrangements were made for a big public meeting to be held at the • court house Saturday night at 8:30 o’clock. The meeting will be addressed by Mrs. Lewis and officers will be elected and a permanent organization formed. Mrs. G. R. Douglas, of Valparaiso, tenth district chairman, will 'be present and make a short talk. I Suffrage for women is an established fact. Mrs. .Lewis predicted that all the women of the Upited | States -would ibe full-fledged voters ■by next fall and everywhere they 1 are making a determined effort to - to - mtellP gent use of the privilege. I Men as well as women are invited to attend the meeting, which is open to the entire county. Membership in ’the Franchise league is open to all who will pay the yearly dues of fifty cents, and all who wish to become charter members may call 517 and ask for Mrs. Lewis
