COMPLAIN THAT BOOK PRICE ACT IS BROKEN.
The office of the state .superintendent of public instruction has complained to the office of the attorney general that a number of the school book publishing companies have been charging school book retailers more than the contract price for supplemental text books, with the result that school children will likely have to pay more than is legal for supplemental text? books. Ele Stansbury, attorney general, has not decided what he will do about the matter.
There are a,: number of places in town where weeds are overhanging the sidewalks and where other very untidy conditions exist that could be greatly improved by spending a few moments’ time. It would be a very good idea if a fall clean-up day could be provided and the health of the community might be greatly improved if every person entered into this with a spirit of community pride and personal appreciation of the fact that they might be saving a life by doing a good job.
