MONON HANDLING 2,400 CARS DAILY.

Freight traffic on the Monon railroad continues to be very heavy. Over the Monon system last, week an average daily handling of 1,400 loaded cars and 1,000 empties was reported, This shows a handling of 2,400 cars daily. La%t Saturday was the heaviest single day of the week rat which time 1,813 loaded cars and 667 empties were handled. On Monday there were handled 1,709 loaded cars as against 726 last year. Owing to the heav traffic additional crews will have to be put on to keep pace with the heavy business now being dorte by the road.
