DOINGS OF CITY COUNCIL.

The RTensselaer city council met TiTreguJar semi-monthly session Monday evening with all members present — 1 .. Ordinance No. 195, requiring hawkers and peddlers to have license and fixing fees as follows: One day, $10; two days one week, S4O, and one month, SIOO. A fine in any sum not exceeding SSO and the cost of the prosecution is provided in case of conviction of a violation of this ordinance. Ordinance was passed providing for a cement walk on Vine street. The petition at 3. C. Gwin for an electric light on CoUege avenue was referred to the light committee. The report of the finance committee was examined and approved and orders ordered issued for the same.
