SURPRISED ON 67TH BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY.
Last Sunday being the 67th birthday anniversary of Mrs. John Hoeferlin, a number of relatives gathered at her home near Moody about the noon hour with iwell filled baskets and gave her a royal surprise. A large table~ was placed on the lawn and in a few minutfes a most bounteous dinner was spread. A 1 of Mrs. Hoeferlin’s children, nine in number, were there to partake of the dinner with her. Her two brothers and nine grandchildren also were present. In the afternoon ice cream, cake and watermelon were served. Those enjoying the occasion were: Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Larsen, of Lafayette; Mr. and Mrs. James Hoeferlin and children, Mr. and Mrs. John Newcomb and children, Mr. and Mrs. (Frank Hoeferlin and children andMr. and Mrs. Munmon Tudor and sons and James Newcomb, of Rensselaer; Mr. and Mrs. George Hoeferlin and children, of 6rook; Miss Thelma Hoeferlin and Mrs. Charles Kellogg, of Hammond; John Newcomb, of McCoysburg, and Misses Mabel and Anna Larsen and Margaret Binslayer and Messrs. Lewis, Charles and William Hoeferlin and Dick Bricker, all of Moody. All departed wishing the guest of honor many more happy returns of the day.—Contributed.
