Charles Replogle has- returned from Houston,- Texas. Howard Washburn, of Kentland, was in Rensselaer Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Newby are spending the day in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Giver, of Wabash, are visiting relatives here. Mr- and Mrs. William Hetlscher, of Kniman, were in Rensselaer on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. John H. May, of rural route No. 4 out of Goodiand, were in Rensselaer Wednesday. Harvey Davisson, Mrs. Alda Parkison and Attorney William Parkison went to Hammond today. Counity Auditpr Elect Schuyler Rqbinsonr of Gillam township, was in Rensselaer today, j Mrs. Peter Nomenion returned to her home in Dwight, 111., after a visit here with her sister, Mrs. Joseph Kanne. President Wilson left Wednesday night on a 10,000-mile speaking tour. His first stop will be at Columbus, O.
William May, son of Mr. and Mjs. G. E. May, arrived here this forenoon from Pittsburg, Pa., where he had been out of the navy. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wangelin and cousin, Marie Hpwald, of Columbus, 0., motored from the Buckeye capital, arriving here Wednesday evening in a new Ford. Miss Minta Williamson, who is in charge of the Schlosser cream station in this city, had the misfortune to break her wrist while cranking a Ford Wednesday. Mrs. R. C. Beeler, of Indianapolis, is visiting with her mother, Mrs. Kate Watson, of Milroy avenue. Dr. Beeler is in New York City attending a national X-ray association meeting. Jane Parkison, daughter of Mr. and R. A. Parkison, of North Weston street, returned Wednesday from Onenakae, Mich., where she was a guest of friends at a.very pleasant house party. Attorney Abraham Halleck has filed a petition with the clerk of the circuit court asking that Paul Thomas Shank have his name changed to Paul Thomas Van Cleave. : WISHES TO THANK PATRONS FOR PAST SERVICE.
