Trevis Spears, who is employed by Charles Fleming ort his farm near Mt. Ayr, "has sent his family to Somerset, Ky., and will join them as soon as Mr. Fleming can get another man. Mrs. Thomas Knight, for many 1 years a resident of Jasper bounty, but now living near Oklahoma City, Okla., has been visiting Indiana friends for some time. She visited with Mrs. Greenlee near Valparaiso and is now visiting with friends in Gillam township, among them Mrs. Robert Johnson and family. Mrs. Johnson and daughters were with Mrs. Knight in Rensselaer today. The ladies of the G. A. R. will hold their regular monthly dinner Friday, September 5, at the home of Mrs. Martha Wasson. All members of the Circle, Post 84 and their families are invited. All are asked to bring what flowers they can to decorate the graves of the departed sistersnow sleeping in Weston cemetery. .

Gland Stuart, who ds visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph [Stuart, preached a very good sermon here Sunday evening. S. L. Johnson and family, of Monon, spent Sunday with Mrs. Rebecca Jacks and family. i Miss Edith Overton and Velda i Heltzel spent Sunday with Cora Noland. 1 The Young Badies’ Sunday school ( class held a picnic last Thursday on the banks of the Tippecanoe river. There were twenty-four present and all report a fine time, . Miss Dora Phillips, of Chicago, is visiting her cousins, Charles and Nellie Waymouth. ; George Holt has sold his farm, which lies one mile south of Lee, to Joe Clark. i Sheridan Christensen, of Kankakee, 111., made a short visit Sunday with his aunts, Mrs. Simon Cooper and Mrs. Samuel Noland. He was on his way to St. Petersburg, Fla., making the trip by automobile. Ray Holman returned Friday from a business trip to DeKalb county, where he has purchased a farm. William Noland, of Dickson, Tennessee, came Thursday for a visit with his brothers, S. W, and 0. E. Noland.
