Washington, Aug. 26.—James R. Riggs, of Sullivan, Ind., was nominated today by the president to *be assistant secretary of agriculture.' Mrs. W. E. Jacks has rented the A. G. W. Farmer residence on South Scott street and will move into the same on October 1. Vilas Jacks will have charge of Mrs. Jacks’ , farm.
