Ajn Irishman as the next mayor of Cdncdimati! A ;thing thought impossible, ibuit it is now more than a probability. Pat Moran, manager of the Cincinnati Reds, can have the city hall, the river and the mayoralty nomination if Ihe so desires. All because he is piloting a Cincinnati ball team to a championship in the National league, something that has never before been done toy any man. Patrick has his charges six and onehalf games in front of the sliding New Yorkers and nothing but a miracle can deprive him of the bunting. Cincinnati has been represented in 'league ball since the beginning of leagues and has never won a pennant. In yesterday’s double bill on the polo grounds the Reds defeated New York twite before the largest crowd in history with one or two exceptions, said exceptions being world series games. And they said the game would be dead after the war.
