Mr. and Mrs. Rappers, of ranch, motored to Lafayette and nearby towns Thursday and Friday. -- - - --- . - I Mr. and Mrs. McKinney, of the ranch, mfotored to Bass Lake Sunday. Adam FUesher, who has been laying off from the ranch on account of an accident, fe able to be back on the job now. Word was received here of the illness of Mrs. Clarence Bowman, of LaPorte. Muck fires are still busy. Mrs. John Willbanks’ horse became frightened Saturday and ran away, throwing her out amd. bruising her considerably. Otherwise' nothing was damaged. Newton Stanton was tit by a rattlesnake Friday evening and his foot has ‘been pretty bad, but is somewhat better now. Mr. and Mrs. J. Lilly lost their two-months-old baby Friday. The funeral services were held Sunday. The rest of the family is on the sick list at present. Arthur Cavendish left this morning for Remington to help thredh.
