NEAR BAD WRECK ON MONON NEAR PARR SUNDAY.
A (bad wreck on the Monon was narrowly averted Sunday afternoon â–ºwhen train No. 33, due in this city at 1:57 p. m., came near being ditched about one-quarter mile south of the Swaim crossing, one and Dnehaltf miles north otf Paw, when the axle of the front trucks (beneath the tender was burned.off, permitting the rear trucks to jump the track. The train was brought to a stop quickly, preventing the cars from leaving the track. A wreck train from Monon was called to repair ( the damage and section men from this city and Fair Oaks repaired the track. The mishap occasioned a delay of fiye hours. The. following Rensselaer people were on the train: Dr. C. E. Johnson, Mrs. Lottie George arid Mr. and Mrs. Marion Learning.
