Prospects throughout the western reclamation belt indicate that the food production records of 1917 and 1918 will probably be eclipsed by those of the current season. Prices of essential foodstuffs are high enough to make it attractive and profitable for farmers to produce on a big scale. Reportg indicate the labor supply is abundant and good, although demanding high pay. Credits are . not cramped, with the consequepce that native farmers are not handicapped in their operations.
