“WHEN A FELLER NEEDS A FRIEND.”

Cartoonist Briggs could find an ideal setting for one of his pictures “When a Feller Needs a Friend” if he would visit tMe home of Dr. I. M. Washburn of this city. The doctor’s son, Bud, was to have gone to Culver Tuesday, with the Boy Scouts, but he has an attack of the mumps and will not be able to realize this one of the dreams of his life. His disappointment is more keenly felt than the draftee who was refused entrance into the army for the reason that he had too many sheep to look after.
