Mrs. George McCarthy returned home Friday from Rochester after spending several dsys with her daughter, Mrs. Russell Sage. Misses Meta Thomas, of Aqrora, 111., and Maurice Humphries, of Lincoln, 111,, teachers in the Monnett school, are spending the vacation at their homes. Luella Robinson, Helen Kiplinger, Charlotte HHI, Ada Robinson and Elizabeth Moore and Floyd Hemphill, Harold Littlefield, Lee Oollins, George Padgitt and Ted Aansler attended the Quinn barn dance last night. Mr. and Mrs. Van R. Grant and sen, Billy,.and Mr. and Mrs. F. GKresler and son, Frank, returned from Lake Webster, Ind., Friday evening, where they had been spending the week fishing. They report fishing exceptionally good in that region and that they made many catches. Mt. and Mire. William L. Frye drove to Hammond today in their automobile. accompanied by Mrs. Lee Keiper and children and Mrs. William McMurray and daughter. They will visit with Mrs. P. L. Davis, of Hammond, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stephenson, of Chicago Heights. /Wilson Shaeffer has sold his 160acre farm at Julian, Newton county, to John Ulyat, receiving for the same S2OO per acre. William Ulyat has purchased of his brother, John Ulyat, 118 acres two and one-quarter miles south of Mt. Ayr, paying for the same $l5O per acre. Miss Liela Paulus went to DePauw today to attend an Alpha O national convention. Three hundred delegates are expected to attend the convention. Margaret Babcock will go next week. FAMOUS WORMS.
