POOR SERBS WEAR PAJAMAS

Bathrobes Form Outer Garment of Many Destitute Women in the Balkans. Belgrade,,- Serbia. —American pajamas are now being worn as outer garments by tens of thousands of destitute men and boys in the Balkans. The American Red Cross has sent over 1,000,000 suits to Serbia, Montenegro and Greece. The shortage of clothing throughout this region is so great that the poor are glad to get any form of covering. Bathrobes are being worn by the women, who find it impossible to get cloaks. Women’s coats are being worn by men and boys, for whom it Is impossible to get- masculine attire.
