Mrs. Kenneth Allman returned to her home in Indianapolis after a visit here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse D. Allman. The Dorcass of the M. E. Sunday school will give a box social Wednesday evening, April 30th, in the church. A program will be given. The weekly meeting of the Health club has been postponed from Wednesday of this week to Monday, May 5, when a full attendance is desired. William Wasson has rented the Fred Phillips’ residence on College Avenue and will move into the same in a few days. The Dorcas class of the M. E. Mrs. Frank Maloy returned to her home in LoweD this morning after a visit here with her mother, Mrs. Michael Eger, and other relatives. Mrs. Ellen Sayler has returned to Rensselaer to take up her residence during the summer months after having spent the winter with relatives in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. John Price, Mrs. Jessie Williams and Albert Sherrill, all of Otterbein, were here Wednesday to attend the Mrs. R. G. Burns’ funeral. It is reported that there is to be a new lumber yard in Remington. The owners, it is reported, are to be county-treasurer Charles V. May and Thomas Grant both of this city. Peter Nomenson, of Dwight, Hl., came to Rensselaer today. Mr. Nomenson finds it difficult to remain away from his Jasper county farms long at a time. William Barker, formerly of this eity, but now of Warsaw, was in Rensselaer Tuesday. He went to Fair Oaks this morning to attend the funeral of his neice, Lily Hall. Isaac Peterson, George Peterson and John Terlong, of near DeMotte, were in Rensseiaer Wednesday. The last two weye soldiers in the late war. The former was discharged from Camp Custer and the latter from Camp McClellan some time ago.
