LET’S GO OVER THIS WEEK
VICTORY LOAN SUBSCRIPTION COMMITTEES URGE SPEED. • ■ * ‘ ■> < The Rainbow division is to reach Indianapolis early next week, and a committee from this county has been appointed to go to the Home Coming in that city. A number of the.boys from this county are in that division. Jasper county should send a greeting to these soldiers, and be able to tell them that we have gone “over the top” in the Fifth or Victory Loan drive. Those having this loan in charge are urging that the subscriptions be speeded up and that we finish the job by Saturday. - , Many of the people in this county have enjoyed phenomenal prosperity as a result of the war. This, with the assured blessing of continued liberty and happiness vouched safe by the valor of our soldier boys, should make all ready and even anxious to do their part in finishing the job. The bonds are a good investment, financially. But they are the best investment in the world in patriotism. The soldiers offered to their country their all. Will we divide just a portion of our excess profits? They received thirty dollars a month. Many people in this county are reported to have cleared thousands of dollars due to abnormal prices caused by the war. Let us finish the job by a liberal subscripition made at once to this, the last, loan that will be offered to the public by the government.
