SPECIAL SESSION PROBABLE TO HARMONIZE ROAD LAWS

A special session of the state legislature, recently adjourned, is entirely probable, due to the erroneous county unit road law. It is probable that Governor Goodrich will make his announcement on the question of a special session today on his return from Winchester where he visited during the weekend. Attorney-General, Ele Stansbury, whom the governor asked to investigate and see whether a way can be found legally to harmonize the present road laws will prepare no written statement on the subject. He believes there is little legal basis for harmonizing the two laws, and less legal basis for any attempt to re-enroll the county unit law to include the amendments the senate clerks failed to incorporate in the enrolled bill which became a law.
