RELEASED ON BOND
Michael C. Mellon and Alexander Cota, of Monon, who have been confined to the White county jail since March 22, on the charges of first degree murder, were released under bond of $5,000 each Saturday, after a hearing which was given them in the judge’s chambers before Judge Carr. A petition asking that a writ of habeas corpus be granted the circuit court by their attorney, A. K. Sills, Jr., and the hearing was then set for Saturday. The men were released under bond of $5,000 and were ordered to appear before the White circuit court during the next term of court, to answer to the charge which has been made against them. The bond which they gave was proven to be good and reliable. The sureties for Michael Mellon are Aaron Blake and Taber Spencer and those for Alexander Cota are Joseph H. Emonds and Leo Lord. Robert Rayle, who had taught the Glendale school in Gillam township, went to his home .near Indianapolis today. . _ -
