THREE AT MEDARYVILLE NEAR DEATH FROM GAS
(Gas from a hard coal stove, the dampers of which had been tightly shut, nearly asphyxiated Alfred Greiger and family, at Medaryville, Tuesday. Greiger’s father, William Greiger, was partly overcome by the fumes, but succeeded in staggering to the door of the house and hurried to the physician’s home nearby. The husband and wife and three year-old daughter were all unconscious. Heroic efforts were made to revivie them and in a few hours they were partly restored to consciousness. The condition of the mother and daughter was still serious today. The father is out of danger.
