CLAIMS TO HAVE SOLD HIGHEST PRICED SOW

John F. Bruner, formerly of this city, but now of Rantoul, 111., writes that he had read with much interest of the Lewis Hampshire hog sale and that he had noted the splendid prices received, and especially the price received for the top-notch sow, $1550. We do not think that Mr. Bruner aims to take the joy out of life, but he sent a clipping of a hog sale held at LaFontaine, 111., in which a Big Type Poland China sow sold for $6,600.00. The sow was sold by J. L. Davis, of LaFontaine, and was purchased by E. C. Thompson, of Franklin, Ind.
