AUDITOR-ELECT ROBINSON INTERESTED IN PURE-BRED STOCK

Schuyler C. Robinson, of Gillam township, and auditor-elect of this county, was in Illinois last month, where he attended two large sales of pure bred hogs. One of these sales was held at Kansas and the top sow was knocked off at $1,060.00. The ofther sale was at Mattoon, where four sows sold for the following prices: $1340; $1205; SIO3O, and SIOOO. One sow and her produce in this sale brought over S7OOO. Mr. Ro'binson bought a sow at this sale, paying for her $550. He has invested over SI4OO in pure bred hogs in the last month. This progressive spirit among the stock raisers of this county as well as in other localities indicate that our rural districts are keeping pace with the advancement being made in the cities.
