Arraying class against Tffiiss, the thought of by the mere exercise of strength must be forever t-rttrh rd; -7 We have m> jealousies or envies or petty rivalries dn tjiis huur of victory, where every nation has its just
cause for pride, where every army brings home its proud banners unstained by the slightest touch of cowardice or of anything which could dishonor the emblem of the nation. • We have, therefore, peculiarly resting upon us at this hour the response ilities not only of victory but of a victory so won, for it means that in working our way through these terribieTlaysCantr years of suffering and strife we have been learning this lesson, of co-operatiom This lesson we must-learn_so thoroughly that we shall be the difficult path of iniernationul co-operation in the days of peace and in the very difficult path of social co-operation in solving our own problems in our own political homes.
