Emmett Eger, who had his leg broken a few days ago, is getting along nicely but says he is tired of staying in the 'house. The Mt. This fee is in addition to long distance fees. A maximum sentence of twenty years in Leavenworth was imposed by Federal Judge Landis on Congress-man-elect Victor L. Berger, of Milwaukee, and four other Socialist leaders, who in pleas likened themselves to history’s greatest martyrs. The five men convicted of conspiracy to obstruct the draft in violation of the espionage act, succeeded m obtaining release on $25,000 .bond, and declared they would carry their legal fight to the United States Supreme Court.
