Mass—Folks here are waiting to greet Private Stanley Karabash, the doughboy who “went over the top” carrying an umbrella. Karabash, in a letter to tils "home from a base hospital, says the-reason he carried the umbrella was to protect his “tin hat” from rain. He didn’t want the headpiece to get rusty, he said.
