• Mrs. A. Gandy ‘was called to Westville on account qf sickness in the family of her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Weaver. Mrs. Eggleston and her brother, Winn Blair, are moving into town and will occupy a part of Mrs. Warne’s house for the present. Mrs. Brown, one of our teachers, gave a lecture Thursday evening for the benefit of the piano fund. It was quite well attended and proved to be very Miss Rains, of Rensselaer, has started a music class here and will give lessons at the home of Mrs. F. R. Erwin every Thursday. Miss Margaret Pritchett, of Buchanon, Mich., is visiting relatives here. Mrs. Georgia Brouhard and daughter, Lilly, visited relatives at Shelby this week. Cal Burroughs is paper hanging at the Lawler ranch this week. , There are two or three more cases of mumps this week. . ■ Herbert Bozelle and wife have moved into the Rapp house south of town. Mrs. Albert Roorda has been quite sick for the past week with pneumoniar “Mrs. John DeAVrtt-is also '-sick, with the same disease. . Born last week to Leslie Warne and wife, a son. The Junior reception is being held at the school house this Friday evening. . _ . Aunt Hannah Quip is suffering with pains in her side. The Bowsher family have moved here from Parr and occupy the Geary property in the west part of town. Russell Wake of Roanoke, Ind., visited the Bringle family this week. M,r. Patti, of Marion,' Ind., has rented Mrs. Cottingham’s building on F runt—street- -and—will - run-- a - pool rooni and shoe shop there. Wm. Wendall arrived home Sunday from Camp McClellan, Ala., where he has been for the past eight months.
