Captain Carpenter of H. M. .S. Vindictive arrived in New York recently. He is the captain of the proudest if not the most prepossessing ship in the British navy. It was the Vindictive that took the leading part tbemost thrilling assault of the war. the object of which w’as to bottle up the German submarine and* destroyer posts ki Zeebrugge.
