Bert Linder and wife returned to their home at Hume, Ill., today after visiting the family of Alex Merica. Mesdames Eldon Hopkins, Floyd Robinson, J. H. Holden, and Mr. and Mrs. James H. Chapman returned from Chicago this afternoon. Simon Cook, of Hanging Grove township, returned today from Chicago, where he had been to purchase a ear load of cattle. Mrs Leonard Rhoades went to Chicago today to visit Mrs. Grace Shotes and consult a specialist regarding her eyes. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Washbum, son Bert Harte, Mrs. Warren Wilson and her daughter, Virginia, of Goodland, were in Rensselaer this afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Padgitt and son, Keith, drove to Indianapolis Saturday and spent Sunday and Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Allmam. Mrs. Alice Knox, who had been visiting her brother-in-law, Thomas Knox, and other relatives, went to Chicago today to visit relatives there before returning to her home at Mr. and Mrs. Levi Herr and his uncle, Levi Anspach, of Michigan, were in Rensselaer today. Mr. Anspach is a brother of Mrs. Levi Herr, of McCoysburg, and he and his wife are both visiting relatives there.
