Mr. and Mrs. George Cummings spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Thayer and have proceeded-to their new home in Florida. ; ' I ,yal ' Stone, of Lochiel, visited friends here last Sunday. Mrs. Ross Plowman, of Shelby, visited here Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Henry DeFries. 200 bushels early choice potatoes for sale. Phice reasonable. Apply to A. R. Franke, Thayer, Ind. There will be a box ’supper at the Thayer" school house on the evening of February 21st. Ben and Tom Fogli, of Chicago, visited here Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Fogli. Mrs. Robert Bosw’inkle was shopping in Hammond Wednesday. Mrs. Wm. VanWienen and son, John, spent Sunday in Gary. Mrs. H. G. Fine and daughter, Rosalie, of Chicago, are visiting Mrs. Chas Amstein visited in Chicago
last week. Wm. Kepperling has been on the influenza list but is better now. Mrs. Henry Cobb returned home last .Thursday from Monon, where she had been assisting her sister. Mrs. H. W. Smith, during their sickness' and the death of their son, Verne. Grandpa Gund of Roselawn, visited here last week. Wm. Kepperling, who has been confined to his home for several days, is some better at this writing. Robert Boswinkle and Elmer Burns were Lowell visitors Monday.
