REAL ESTATE BEARS BURDEN IN MONTANA
The Montana tax burden under the general property tax has been shifted year by year to real estate and other property equally “tangible'’ to the assessor. Land owners especially feel this. "There is an insufficient revenue that is a greater burden on a portion of the taxpayers than a sufficient revenue equitably distributed would be upon all taxpayers. • To* equally distribute the tax burden so as to yield the necessary revenue, demands the disclosure and taxation of all intangible and other property now escaping under an equitable and reasonable classified property tax. 1
