George S. Lyon, veteran of three score years, has been looked upon as the leading amateur golfer of Canada for the last decade, but he will have to look fast to his lautels, for a new star appears in the" golfing firmament. The other day he was paired against his father in a war-fund fourball match and honors were with the son, who had a round of 76, as compared with his father’s 79.
