John Bpyle, who died at Jersey City, N J., recently, was one of thefour ten Wscued nlire tn ! 1891 front the Jeansville mines of J. ,C. Hayden. 4 Co., when 21 miners were entombed for 19 days by a rush of water. The four . survivors ate a mine mule drowned with their 17. comrades. Boyle was widely known as a fiddler in the Lehigh field, but lost his tfurte of darkness and moved to New Jersey.
