JACKSON IN LAW FIRM
Lafayette, Ind., January 2.—Ed Jackson, formerly secretary of state who resigned his office at the outbreak of war to enter the army officers’ training camp at Ft. Benjamin Harrison and who later rose to the rank of major, entered into a law partnership here today with Clyde H. Jones. Major Jackson for some months has been in comman,d at Camp Purdue, having charge of nearly 3,000 soldiers quartered there. Although hets still in army service, he-has been relieved from active duty, but will retain charge of the camp affairs until all the officers have been discharged. The men have alredy been released.
