RENSSELAER DEFEATS LOWELL

The local high school basket ball team went to Lowell Friday night and gave the Lake county lads a real trimming to the score of 6 to 26. The Lowell team consisted of large, unexperienced boys, who played little backet ball and were very rough throughout the entire game. Every one of the Rensselaer five played a star game. Captain Lee Collins and his brother, aided by Babcock, PhegJey and Tilton, and the other substitutes, should make a quintet that will race for the state honors. The two Collins, Phegley and Babcock have played together for two years and show great team work, and with J. Worth McCarthy as a coach they should march toward the state tournament, which will 'be held at Lafayette the coming spring. The line-up was as follows: Rensselaer —Lee Collins, captain, center; Paul Collins, forward; Clyde Tilton, forward, Frank Babcock, guard; Halley Phegley, guard; Walter Randle, guard; Forest Merica, forward. Lowell—E. Little, Center; G. Childress, forward; J. Maloy, forward; E. Kleine, guard; M. Bohr, guard; E. Sirois, forward; G. guard.
