The ’blowing of the fire whistle for prayer at 12 o’clock, will be discontinued after Thursday November 28. It was instituted at the request of the Jaspmr County War Motherp, and now that its -purpose has been accomplished, the whistle will blow for the last time on Thanksgiving day, when we shall bow our heads and reverently acknowledge our gratitude for the blessing of peace, and the hope that our sons may soon return to their homes. We deeply appreciate -the consideration shown us by the granting of our request, and the faithfuluess of the men at the plant who performed the duty. xx W. J.
