Twelve girl riders of the New York Hippodrome are helping to break 16 horses for an artillery scene in a war spectacle under the expert training of Dr. Martin J. Potter. The Merchants’ Shipbuilding company on the Delaware has installed a fire alarm drill for its women employees as well as the men, in which they are taught to break glass, pull, hooks and other signals of alarm. A Wilmington shipyard has commandeered the Century club building, owned by the Woman’s club-of that city, to be used as a hospital for influenza cases from the yards. 7V'" As a means.of extending its educational features, four women have been added to the staff of the Pennsylvania university museum, who will assist visitors to examine and understand the collections.
