Hershman, who had been at Kentland this week serving as an attorney for Joseph Salrin in the case of the Bank of Wheatfield vs Salrin, and which was given to the jury Friday evening, left here this morning for his home in Crown Point. Sixteen of the friends of Mrs. F. B. Ham treated her. to a surprise last eveningby bringing well filed baskets and spending a pleasant evening with her. The surprise was occasioned by the removal of the Ham family to Lafayette Monday, where Mr. Ham is now engaged in the jewelry business.
