OBITUARY OF MRS. RITTER.

Mrs. Marie Ritter, nee Tornovsky, was born in Negeskovo, in the province of Posen, Germany, March 20, 1857, where she spent her early years. After being married to Mr. Edward Ritter they came to this country in 1882, settling in Melvin, Hl. In 1897 they moved to this state, and resided in McCoysburg, and later moved to their present home in Barkley township. Besides the sorrowing husband the deceased leaves to mourn her departure nine children, Mrs./ Augusta Schultz, of Melvin, Hl.; Mrs. Emma Schultz, Mrs. Olgo Murphy, Mrs. Adeline Schultz, Minnie, Alvine, Rudolph, Otto and Ed. Ritter, Jr. Two children preceded her in death, Mrs. Alfrieds Schultz in 1910, and Adelheide Scharlotte iit early infancy, in 1900. She also leaves two brothers, four sisters and fifteen grandchildren. Having been afflicted for many years she passed away Monday night, October 28, 1918, at 11 o’clock. Her age was 61 years, seven months and eight days.
