Mrs. Carrie Chapman Catt has the backing of Tammany for a seat in the United States senate. In New York state there are 1.858,“ 270 men and 633,490 women enrolled in all political parties. All women who are British subjects by birth or naturalization are eligible to vote in Ontario, Canada. Unless their salaries are increased over 12,000 school teachers in London threaten to go on a strike. Waitresses employed at the government powder plants are paid S4O per month and their board.
